30 Day Writing Challenge

Day 28: The Turning Point

[[Not so Defective Now..]]

"Hello.." "Response?" "Hello.."

That's all you heard down there.The turrets were being tested,seeing which was affective and which was defective. Some of the turrets tried their best to be affective,but some just couldnt make it.And because of that,they were thrown into the trash.Some turrets already knew they were defective,and were nervous about lied ahead.

Meanwhile though,a test subject had made her way down into this place.She was energetic and ready to go. Some turrets watched as she came in,so lively and ready for what was ahead.But her grin slowly turned into a frown when she saw the defective turrets getting thrown away. They didn't deserve that,at least,not in her mind.

So,she made her way to the railing in front of the trash and leaned back.So far as to catch a turret,but not to fall in the trash.

The next defective turret's eyes widened as he saw what she was gonna do.And excitement seemed to grow inside him.

"Hello.." "Response?" "Uh...what?"

And just like that,he was tossed to the trash.But the test subject grabbed him.Even though he was heavier then her,she still managed to grab him.All because of the awesome aim she had with her portal gun.She set him down and smiled at him.

"Hey,thanks pal! You saved my bacon!"the turret said.

"No problem! What's your name?"the girl asked.

"Uh...I don't have one,unless its defective turret.."the turret responded.

"Hm...defective turret...I'll call you DT!"the girl said,her smile returning.

'I have a name now...I guess I'm not that defective..'the turret,now called DT,thought.

"So what's your name?"he asked,as they started walking around.

"I'm Cheyenne!"the girl replied.

"Well it's nice to meet you!"DT said.

"Its nice to meet you too,now let's get out of here and stop anyone that gets in our way!"Cheyenne said,determination on her eyes.

"Let's give them hell,sweetheart!"DT replied,smiling.
